Chon-Kemin Horse Riding
Chon-Kemin Gorge, roughly 145 km from Bishkek, is one of the closest places to combine mountain scenery with horseback riding on a short trip. Forested slopes, a fast mountain river, and open pasture make it a comfortable introduction to riding in Kyrgyzstan.
The Ride
Rides through Chon-Kemin typically last one to a few hours, following trails along the river and into the lower forested slopes, with a local horseman leading the group.
How to Get There
