A classic route for a first visit to Kyrgyzstan with a stop at the Altyn-Arashan hot springs. The tour combines Tien Shan mountain landscapes, the green Chon-Kemin Gorge, the southern shore of Issyk-Kul, picturesque canyons, and a comfortable travel pace without overload or extreme off-road.

Daily Program

Day 1. Bishkek → Chon-Kemin

• Route: Bishkek – Chon-Kemin
• Distance: ~145 km
• Travel time: 3–3.5 hours

Transfer to the scenic Chon-Kemin Gorge. Accommodation in a guesthouse. Horseback riding in the gorge (mandatory activity). Outdoor relaxation.

Overnight: Chon-Kemin

Day 2. Chon-Kemin → Southern shore of Issyk-Kul

• Route: Chon-Kemin – Boom Gorge – Bokonbaevo
• Distance: ~330 km
• Travel time: 6–7 hours

Transfer through Boom Gorge and along Issyk-Kul. Stops for rest and photography. Accommodation on the southern shore, free time.

Overnight: Southern shore of Issyk-Kul

Day 3. Southern shore → Skazka Canyon → Bokonbaevo

• Route: Bokonbaevo – Skazka Canyon – Bokonbaevo
• Distance: ~70–90 km
• Travel time: 2–3 hours

Walk through Skazka Canyon – one of Kyrgyzstan’s most photogenic locations. Eagle, Taigan show, and archery. Free time by the lake.

Overnight: Southern shore of Issyk-Kul

Day 4. Southern shore → Jeti-Oguz → Karakol

• Route: Bokonbaevo – Jeti-Oguz – Karakol
• Distance: ~170 km
• Travel time: 3–4 hours

Transfer to Karakol. Visit Jeti-Oguz Gorge, walk to the “Broken Heart” rocks. Sightseeing in Karakol.

Overnight: Karakol (guesthouse / hotel)

Day 5. Karakol → Altyn-Arashan

• Route: Karakol – Altyn-Arashan
• Distance: ~30 km
• Travel time: 1.5–2.5 hours (off-road)

Transfer by UAZ / “Bukhanka” to Altyn-Arashan Gorge. Hot springs, walks, and mountain relaxation.

Overnight: Altyn-Arashan (guesthouse / yurt)

Day 6. Altyn-Arashan → Karakol → Bishkek

• Route: Altyn-Arashan – Karakol – Bishkek
• Distance: ~420 km
• Travel time: 7–9 hours

Descent from Altyn-Arashan. Long but scenic transfer to Bishkek with stops. End of tour.
