How to get there

The Classic Highlights Tour (Easy) runs through Northern Kyrgyzstan and Issyk-Kul Lake. Start and finish are in Bishkek. The tour start can be reached by plane, train, or car.

Key points of the route: Chon-Kemin Gorge (~145 km from Bishkek), Karakol (northern shore of Issyk-Kul), and the southern shore of Issyk-Kul (Bokonbaevo area).

The route features comfortable transfers on paved roads without off-road segments. Individual tour transport is provided for the entire route.

Daily Tour Program

Day 1. Bishkek → Chon-Kemin

  • Route: Bishkek – Chon-Kemin
  • Distance: ~145 km
  • Travel Time: 3–3.5 hours

Transfer to the scenic Chon-Kemin Gorge. Accommodation in a guesthouse. Horse riding in the gorge (included). Nature rest and dinner.

Overnight: Chon-Kemin

Day 2. Chon-Kemin → Karakol

  • Route: Chon-Kemin – Boom Gorge – Karakol
  • Distance: ~340 km
  • Travel Time: 6–7 hours

Transfer along the northern shore of Issyk-Kul. Stops for rest and photos. Guided tour of Karakol.

Overnight: Karakol (guesthouse / hotel)


Day 3. Karakol → Southern Shore of Issyk-Kul

  • Route: Karakol – Bokonbaevo
  • Distance: ~170 km
  • Travel Time: 3–4 hours

Transfer to the southern shore of Issyk-Kul. Eagle hunting, Taigan show, and archery. Free time by the lake.

Overnight: Southern shore of Issyk-Kul


Day 4. Southern Shore of Issyk-Kul

  • Route: local excursions
  • Distance: ~60–90 km
  • Travel Time: 2–3 hours

Visit Skazka Canyon. Walks along the lake, relaxation, and free time.

Overnight: Southern shore of Issyk-Kul


Day 5. Southern Shore of Issyk-Kul → Bishkek

  • Route: Bokonbaevo – Bishkek
  • Distance: ~315 km
  • Travel Time: 5–6 hours

Return to Bishkek with stops on the way. Tour ends.
